My life has been made so special by the deep and abiding friendship that I have had through the years with Sage, Greta, Eliza and Steve. I am simply heartbroken that we continue on without the warm, generous and jovial, Sage Millard,making us smile and cry tears from too much laughter. I met about ten years ago; he was a genuinely kind guy; easygoing and humble, very talented in multiple arenas. He’s a fine specimen of a human being, from the beauty saloon to the train yard, and, despite the fact that our correspondence was rather brief and fragmented, It was of the highest caliber in quality and I will truly miss him.

Wow, not much I can say but you all knew him as well as I did. I’m thinking of this guy all the time now and I will miss him every day. Now there is no one to understand my twisted humor that only he and I knew was funny for some reason. I have an empty spot in my life that cannot be refilled because he was so unique and special to me. I will play many games of World at War Zombies in his honor. Thank you everyone that posted here and came to the service at Jubilee. Much love to Sage and family, I will never forget you guys!

I’ve been trying to post something here for days, but I will never be able to express how much I love and miss Sage. So, I’ll just say thank you… Thank you to the Millard family, thank you Matt for introducing me to Sage, thank you Cliff, thank you Jeff and the gang at Luella’s for honoring and remembering Sage, thank you Bruce for capturing his spirit in three little words. Thank you to all his family and friends for sharing such an awesome guy with me. Most of all, thank you Sage…for making me laugh, for being there for me and for being my friend and brother. I love you. I miss you.

We have created a Facebook group to celebrate and remember Sage. All are welcome to be a part of it, because…”You’re doin’ it!”

I’m truly honored to have had a son who made so many friends.
We were very close… not the typical, distant ‘father/son’ relationship. I’d take him to lunch at least every other week to Tacoria Fast and talk movies, the lastest FPS, Photoshop techniques, how to deal with late paying clients, Pad Thai recipes. In a very real way, when we got together, we were the ’same age’. And, he made me laugh, too… sometimes till my stomach hurt. I’ll miss him intensly. I have to stop now. That was an awesome memorial service on Sunday. It was heartening to see how many people were able to be there on such short notice. Sage truly will be missed.

It’s difficult to understand what meaning we’re supposed to derive from Sage’s abrupt departure from our lives… and it’s even harder to comprehend what we’re ever going to do without him.

He was my musical partner, my comedic foil, and for the past ten years he was one of my very closest friends. From all of the countless hours working at the shop, to the happy jam sessions here, there, and everywhere, I have so many memories full of unending laughter and steadfast loyalty (both of which were things Sage provided in abundance).

I am saddened beyond any words I can convey, and I’ll never forget the many, many experiences I was fortunate enough to share with Sage- he was one of a kind, and I loved him.

All things said, it helps to know that although our friend is gone, he certainly he won’t be forgotten.
