I find myself constantly searching for something that isn't here and I've realized now that it is Sage. Maybe its the time of the year. It is so cool that this is still here. Love & Peace to all!

Needless to say, Eliza and I are missing our son. This time of year will always be difficult for us, but it will also be a time of rememberance of the wonderful memorial for Sage that most of you contributed to (even though I was unable to attend). We think about him every day, and remember the times we spent with him as an infant, toddler, camper, Nintendo addict (thanks to me)... teen, and on. From day one, he was always cheerful and funny, and took life (mostly in stride. 'Love you, Sage, wherever you are. -dad

i think chad's post pretty much said everything i am thinking/feeling, only earlier than i knew i would be thinking/feeling this way. I too only knew Sage for a brief period of time when i worked at I420. What a blessing it was to have met him and had the chance to get to know him. Sage-man-dude you are inspirational, fun and really made/make me think then and now. God bless u and your family. Billie

My warmest thoughts go out to Steve, Eliza, and Gretta for the loss of a brother, son, and friend. I am sorry that I never got to meet the man, I only knew the boy, who was always willing to smile.

For all who are interested there is a memorial tree at the North Carolina Arboretum for Sage. With contributions from friends and family we have purchased a Paperbark Maple tree. Anyone is welcome to visit the tree as it is a great representation of Sage's personality. It is in the Canopy Garden area and is the furthest tree on the path. It looks towards the future of the garden for the Arboretum. Please take time to visit the tree and support the Arboretum as Sage enjoyed his time there...

I clumsily stumbled onto news of Sage's passing just today, and have spent the day thinking about him and what tremendous presence someone can have in others lives. Obviously, if I just heard about this tragedy today (5 months later), then it goes without saying that Sage and I had lost touch since I left 420 7 years ago, but that's the power of a strong soul...I worked with him only a brief while, haven't seen him in about 7 years, yet news of his loss has occupied my entire day. It can't be said about everyone that they are both memorable and likeable at the same time, but this could be said of Sage. I see that I'm rambling at this point so I'll simply tell Sage that he can pick the music from now on, and I'll keep the complaining to a minimum.

My life has been made so special by the deep and abiding friendship that I have had through the years with Sage, Greta, Eliza and Steve. I am simply heartbroken that we continue on without the warm, generous and jovial, Sage Millard, making us smile and cry tears from too much laughter. You will always be remembered with a smile, sweet Sage. Steve, Eliza and Greta, you remain constant in my heart and prayers with much love. Jerita

I met about ten years ago; he was a genuinely kind guy; easygoing and humble, very talented in multiple arenas. He's a fine specimen of a human being, from the beauty saloon to the train yard, and, despite the fact that our correspondence was rather brief and fragmented, It was of the highest caliber in quality and I will truly miss him.
\here's a brief acrostic for SAGE
Sincerity
Amicability
Genuity
Excellence.
