We got the 200 cubic inch 40 horsepower motor back into our freshly restored frame this week. Hope to drive it around awhile before we get busy on the body. It is going to look good delivering your shirts…more info on our type of truck can be found here. Ours will be like the yellow one…we hope.

All the best pop/rock/alternative/indie/modern bands in the shamelessly talented, friendly mountain town of Asheville North Carolina. You can be there, MLK weekend 2009. POPAsheville is a 3-day, 30+ band indie pop music festival held at several indoor venues (including a free shuttle bus that serves as a stage) in Asheville, NC USA. POPAsheville is an original — the first venue-based music festival ever held in Asheville.

POPAsheville supports a thriving scene for modern touring bands and recognizes the importance of community and information-sharing within this scene and the surrounding region. In the midst of a highly transitional music industry, POPAsheville seeks to bolster partnerships between touring bands and to amplify Asheville’s presence on the national modern music map.

Advance tickets available (cash only) at The Grey Eagle, The Rocket Club, Harvest Records, Orbit DVD, Honeypot, or Static Age Records, What to Wear, and online at http://popasheville.eventbrite.com.

Read this in last weeks Mountainxpress about a long time friend and customer… ” Malcolm Holcombe‘s Gamblin’ House (recorded at Echo Mountain/another friend and customer) earned praise this year from many outlets, including the No. 1 album of 2008 from one of Billboard’s critics: “Crafty and handsomely-crafted songs from a wise and wizened North Carolina singer/songwriter,” writes Wayne Robins.” We are glad to see you doing so well…
